Role: Business Development Manager

Location: Chennai

We are looking for a driven and experienced Cloud Sales Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies and services, along with a proven track record of driving sales in the cloud computing industry. As a Cloud Sales BDM, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth through the sale of cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities in the cloud computing market.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop targeted lead generation campaigns.
  • Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking progress and performance.
  • Present cloud solutions to prospective clients, highlighting the value proposition and benefits.
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Understand client requirements and propose customized cloud solutions to meet their business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance and support throughout the sales process.
  • Work closely with technical teams to understand product capabilities and limitations.
  • Collaborate on solution design and proposal development to address client needs effectively.
  • Provide feedback from clients to inform product development and enhancements.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring terms are favorable and aligned with business objectives.
  • Close sales deals in a timely manner, meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Ensure smooth handover to implementation and support teams post-sale.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in cloud sales or business development roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, platforms, and services (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, public, private, hybrid clouds).
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques, with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on driving revenue growth.
