Job Description

At ConvenientMD, we’re on a mission to make good health more convenient for all – working to improve how patients and providers experience healthcare in New England. To support this belief, we’re building a team of dedicated professionals who genuinely care about improving lives, are passionate about work that can make a difference, and are driven to learn from one another.

The Opportunity

The Director, Enterprise Analytics leads the oversight and execution of analytics across ConvenientMD’s Advanced Primary Care and Urgent Care service lines. Reporting to the President, Advanced Primary Care and Value-Based Care, this role owns the organization’s business intelligence function and sets the data and analytics strategy for operations and population health performance across the enterprise. This role involves leadership, strategy, and hands-on deployment. The Director will share responsibility in building dashboards and conducting the ad hoc analyses that drive performance in value-based care contracts, while leading a team of analysts, establishing enterprise reporting standards, and partnering with Information Technology on the data infrastructure that supports them. The successful candidate combines genuine technical depth with the business judgment to turn analysis into decisions that operators and executives will act on.

This role is not remote. This position is based onsite at ConvenientMD headquarters in Portsmouth, NH.

Your Impact

Enterprise Analytics Strategy and Leadership
•    Own and execute the analytics strategy across Advanced Primary Care and Urgent Care, ensuring reporting is built once for the enterprise rather than rebuilt for each service line
•    Support the development of the multi-year roadmap for business intelligence, population health analytics, and decision support
•    Establish intake, prioritization, and service standards so analytic capacity is directed to the highest-value work
•    Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and external partners
•    Build the business case for analytic investments and manage the function to budget

Value-Based Care Analytics and Contract Performance
•    Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting that track performance against all value-based care contracts across Commercial, Traditional Medicare, and Medicare Advantage
•    Conduct contract modeling and scenario analysis to support payor negotiations, renewals, and new arrangement design
•    Independently reconcile payor-produced settlements
•    Partner with clinical and operational leaders on root cause analysis and corrective action for underperforming contracts and measures
•    Support total cost of care management and medical expense ratio analysis

Population Health Analytics
•    Lead the analytics supporting population health management, including utilization measures such as admissions and emergency department visits per thousand, readmission rates, and quality measure performance
•    Deliver risk stratification and cohort identification that directs care management resources to the highest-impact patients
•    Measure the effectiveness of care management, transitional care, and care gap closure programs
•    Support HEDIS, CMS Star Ratings, MIPS, and other quality reporting requirements

Urgent Care and Enterprise Operations Analytics
•    Oversee reporting across the urgent care network, including site-level performance, visit volume, provider productivity, patient throughput, and staffing to demand
•    Deliver analytics on growth, patient acquisition, and conversion between urgent care and primary care
•    Support revenue cycle, workforce, and patient experience reporting across the enterprise
•    Partner with Urgent Care Operations leadership on the measures that drive the daily and weekly operating rhythm

Enterprise Metrics and Data Governance
•    Define and maintain enterprise metric definitions and the data dictionary so the organization operates from a single set of numbers
•    Establish data quality standards for analytic output and partner with Information Technology on the mechanisms that enforce them
•    Implement a certification model that distinguishes governed, executive-ready reporting from exploratory analysis
•    Serve as the business owner of analytic accuracy, including reconciliation between vendor platform output and enterprise reporting

Team Leadership and Development
•    Lead, coach, and develop a team of senior business intelligence analysts supporting Advanced Primary Care and Urgent Care
•    Set priorities, performance standards, and individual development plans
•    Build depth in organizational knowledge across the team
•    Recruit and onboard additional analytic talent as the function scales

Cross-Functional Partnership
•    Partner with the Chief Information Officer and the data management team on integration priorities, reference table requirements, and the data lakehouse roadmap
•    Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and alignment between operational and financial reporting
•    Work with clinical leadership to translate analysis into workflow and care model modifications
•    Support payor reporting obligations and external data requirements

Who You Are

Technical and Analytical Skills
•    Advanced SQL required (SSMS, Snowflake), with demonstrated ability to work independently against large healthcare data sets
•    Familiarity with EMR data and reporting (athenaOne preferred)
•    Expert proficiency with a major business intelligence platform. Power BI and Tableau experience strongly preferred
•    Working knowledge of healthcare claims data, including institutional and professional claims, remittance files, eligibility and attribution rosters, and ADT feeds
•    Experience with cloud data platforms and data lakehouse architectures
•    Familiarity with Python, R, or a comparable language for analysis and automation preferred
•    Understanding of dimensional modeling, semantic layers, and version-controlled analytic development

Value-Based Care and Healthcare Domain Knowledge
•    Strong command of value-based care economics, including total cost of care, medical expense ratio, utilization measures, and shared savings mechanics
•    Understanding of risk adjustment, HCC coding, and Medicare payment methodology
•    Familiarity with HEDIS, CMS Star Ratings, MIPS, and quality measure specifications

Leadership and Communication
•    Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain an analytics team
•    Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical analysis to clinical, operational, and executive audiences
•    Comfort operating with ambiguity and building structure where little exists today
•    Strong prioritization judgment in an environment where analytic demand exceeds available capacity
