emagine is a high-end professional services consultancy and solutions firm specialising in providing business and technology services to the financial services sector. We power progress, solve challenges, and deliver real results through tailored high-end consulting services and solutions.

We have created a culture of openness and integrity by building genuine and strong relationships and partnerships, enabling us to be uncompromising in our dedication to delivering the optimal service for our clients. Our commitment is not just towards our clients — we aim to foster a positive and equitable working environment with our consultants and colleagues, which stems from our core values: Confident, Dedicated, Responsible, Genuine.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a high-profile, efficiency-driven transformation programme within a leading banking environment. This role will focus on identifying process inefficiencies, defining AI-enabled opportunities, and driving technology-led improvements across the organisation.

The successful consultant will work closely with senior business stakeholders, engineering teams, and product leaders to assess current processes, define future-state solutions, and support the delivery of AI and automation initiatives. This is a highly visible position requiring strong technical credibility, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence decision-making at all levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to understand existing processes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate with multiple technology and engineering teams to gather requirements and assess technical feasibility.

  • Define, document, and prioritise AI and automation use cases aligned with existing platform capabilities and strategic objectives.

  • Create clear current-state and future-state process maps and workflow documentation.

  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications, including user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Lead backlog creation, refinement, and prioritisation activities alongside Product Owners and delivery teams.

  • Conduct hands-on testing and validation of delivered solutions, including SQL-based data analysis and testing.

  • Present recommendations, delivery options, and trade-offs to senior business and technology stakeholders.

  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, data governance, risk, and regulatory standards.

  • Support Agile delivery practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years' experience as a Technical Business Analyst within large-scale banking or financial services technology programmes.

  • Proven track record of working with multiple engineering teams and senior business stakeholders in complex environments.

  • Demonstrable experience supporting or delivering AI, automation, or advanced technology initiatives.

  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to independently analyse, validate, and test data.

  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, software development lifecycles (SDLC), and technology delivery frameworks.

  • Experience documenting business processes, requirements, user stories, and solution designs.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.

  • Financial Services or Capital Markets experience is essential.

Desirable Experience
  • Exposure to Generative AI, Machine Learning, or Intelligent Automation programmes.

  • Experience working within large-scale transformation or operational efficiency initiatives.

  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture, data governance, and regulatory frameworks within banking.
