Job Description

Release Management Responsibilities
  • Initiation and Discovery - Review the existing Release Management process, governance controls, ServiceNow Release Management records, change management integration, stakeholder map, vulnerability management practices, and current release calendar.
  • Release Schedule Established - Develop and publish a rolling release schedule aligned to business, operational, and maintenance windows. Coordinate with Security, Infrastructure, Application, Cloud, and Operations teams to establish forecasting and release demand planning within ServiceNow Digital Product Release (DPR) Module.
  • Operational Release Coordination - Coordinate individual releases and recurring patching releases, monitor release readiness, manage risks and dependencies, facilitate approvals, support communications, and report release outcomes.
  • Release Templates and Standards - Create and implement standard release plans, release candidate templates, readiness checklists, deployment schedules.
  • ServiceNow Release Management Adoption - Ensure all releases are tracked through ServiceNow DPR Module. Improve release record quality, workflow adherence, reporting, and linkage to associated changes and remediation activities.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage cross functional project teams to deliver high quality results within scope and schedule.
  2. Develop and execute project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  3. Monitor project progress, identify and address issues or risks, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  4. Implement agile methodologies to improve efficiency, transparency, and collaboration within the project team.
  5. Coordinate with business stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives with overall business goals.
  6. Conduct post project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
Skill Requirements
  1. Strong proficiency in program management principles and practices.
  2. Solid understanding and experience in agile methodology and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  3. Exceptional leadership and communication skills to effectively motivate teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
  4. Ability to make strategic decisions, prioritize tasks, and solve problems efficiently under pressure.
  5. Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  6. Proficiency in project management tools and software for planning, monitoring, and reporting progress.
Other Requirements
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master) is a plus.
