Software Engineer – AI-Driven Automation & Reverse Engineering

Washington, DC metropolitan area or Lexington, MA

Remote candidates located outside these areas will also be considered.

All candidates should be able to travel to Ft. Meade or Lexington, MA approximately 2 times per month for 4 days. Candidates are expected to be able to work Eastern timezone hours.

Interim sufficient to start, but ideally TS//SCI eligible as it will open up additional opportunities.

Position Overview

The client is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will need to have software development skills, security analysis skills, artificial intelligence experience, automation and orchestration skills, and the ability to adapt to the needs of a growing and evolving team.

You’ll need to be flexible, motivated, and able to quickly learn new technologies to meet requirements. Candidates will need to be able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. They must also possess a love for technical challenges, a desire to constantly learn, and be able to establish themselves as a critical player within a team.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to advance the development and deployment of AI-driven automation frameworks for aiding the reverse engineering of complex Linux-based embedded systems across diverse operational environments.

In this role, you will design and implement intelligent emulation solutions leveraging LLM-powered agents to automate configuration analysis, dependency mapping, and environment adaptation. You will focus on reducing manual overhead while ensuring system compatibility and operational reliability throughout the reverse engineering lifecycle.
