Job Description

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Web Application Developer with strong WordPress development skills to support a public sector client. The ideal candidate will build and maintain a modern, accessible, mobile-responsive website while working closely with UX/UI designers and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites
  • Customize WordPress themes and plugins
  • Develop responsive, mobile-friendly interfaces
  • Build features including search, file sharing, and analytics integration
  • Ensure compliance with WCAG AA accessibility standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues
  • Maintain WordPress core, themes, and plugins
  • Collaborate with designers, content managers, and project stakeholders
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional web development experience
  • Strong experience with:
    • WordPress
    • PHP
    • HTML5
    • CSS3
    • JavaScript
  • Experience developing WordPress themes and plugins
  • Knowledge of responsive web design
  • Experience implementing WCAG accessibility standards
  • Familiarity with website security and performance optimization
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Elementor
  • Experience with Google Analytics integration
  • Experience working with public sector or government clients
  • Familiarity with multilingual/translation frameworks
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
