Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 10+ years of experience in test automation, software quality engineering, and framework development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing automation frameworks, API testing, CI/CD integration, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and business teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and report defects.
- Perform database validation using SQL.
- Participate in code reviews and promote automation best practices.
- Support performance and security testing activities as needed.
- Mentor junior QA/SDET team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
- Strong programming experience in Java, C#, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
- Experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Experience with JUnit, TestNG, NUnit, or PyTest.
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Experience in Banking, Healthcare, Retail, or Financial Services domains.
Education
Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Nice to Have Certifications
- ISTQB Certified Tester
- Certified Selenium Professional
- AWS or Azure Cloud Certification
