Job Description

Role Title: Commercial Administrator

Location: Essex, RM16 6RL

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent / Full-Time

About the Role:


The Commercial Administrator is a newly created role to support Blackwell Earthmoving's Lower Thames Crossing project team to perform a variety of administrative tasks including providing support to our managers and wider team, assisting in daily office needs managing our projects general administrative activities.

The role will be based full-time in our Lower Thames Crossing office based in Pilgrims Lane.

What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Downloading and Processing of Allocation Sheets into the Commercial Data System
  • Checking of Allocation Sheets and returning for amendments to Site Team
  • Saving late or changed Allocation Sheets and updating the Commercial Data System to match
  • Produce weekly operator timesheets for Project Director's approval
  • Distribute timesheets to agencies and handle queries
  • Checking of Commercial Data for errors
  • Inputting of Blackwell Operator hours on to the Time Management System
  • Checking and correcting of the Time Management System
  • Data inputting in weekly/monthly trackers
  • Liaison with the project team to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Miscellaneous administration and support tasks when required


What We’re Looking For:


  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant, virtual assistant or working in an office environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
