Data Architect - Dallas, TX - Fulltime

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design, govern, and evolve enterprise data architecture supporting large-scale telecom/technology programs. The role involves defining data strategy, standards, and blueprints that enable scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms across on-prem and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design end-to-end data architecture (data lake, data warehouse, data mesh) aligned with business and technical requirements
  • Define data models (conceptual, logical, physical) and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards
  • Architect solutions for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption across structured/unstructured sources
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies (cloud data platforms, ETL/ELT tools, databases) for scalability and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and presales to translate requirements into architecture blueprints
  • Establish data integration strategies across legacy and modern systems, including APIs and streaming pipelines
  • Define and enforce metadata management, data lineage, and master data management (MDM) practices
  • Provide architectural oversight during implementation, ensuring adherence to design principles and best practices
  • Mentor data engineering teams and review technical designs for scalability, performance, and compliance
  • Support presales/solutioning efforts with architecture diagrams, technical proposals, and effort estimation.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong Experience in Data architecture, with proven experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms
  • Strong expertise in cloud data ecosystems (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) – data lakes, warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse)
  • Deep knowledge of data modeling techniques (dimensional, normalized, data vault)
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, Databricks, Spark)
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality, and MDM tools
  • Experience with streaming/real-time data architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Event Hubs)
  • Familiarity with telecom domain data (network, billing, customer, OSS/BSS) preferred
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to present architecture to technical and business audiences
  • Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform data architecture, TOGAF) are a plus

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
