Job Description

Overview

When the technology works, nobody notices. When it doesn't, everyone does. Your job is to make sure it works.

As Manager - Digital Foundations at Kanda, you'll own the infrastructure that keeps the whole organisation running - cloud, Microsoft 365, networking, telephony, integration services and everything in between. It's not glamorous work on the surface, but it's foundational in the truest sense. Get it right, and hundreds of people can do their jobs without thinking twice about the technology underneath them.

This is a leadership role with real accountability - to your team, to the CIO, and to every part of the business that depends on reliable, secure digital services to deliver care.

Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end accountability for cloud infrastructure, Microsoft 365, networking, telephony and integration services
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team built on accountability and continuous improvement
  • Keep services reliable, resilient and secure - and evolving as the business grows
  • Embed disciplined service management across incident, problem, change and request management
  • Maintain asset governance, monitoring, alerting and operational runbooks
  • Report on service reliability, vendor performance, cost and risk - clearly, without the jargon
  • Manage budgets, forecast expenditure and drive cost-effective procurement
  • Partner with cybersecurity and risk teams on identity, access, data protection and DR planning
  • Hold vendors accountable and contribute to sourcing, contracts and commercial negotiations
Qualifications
  • You have 3+ years leading technical teams and 5+ years managing enterprise digital foundations
  • You have hands-on technical capability across cloud, Microsoft 365, networking and telephony
  • You understand cloud architecture, scalability and cyber security best practices
  • You cut through complex problems, find root causes and land on practical solutions
  • You communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences
  • You're customer-focused and hold yourself to a high standard of service excellence
  • You hold a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or are willing to obtain one
Why Kanda
  • Monthly RDO - an extra 12 days of leave per year
  • Wellness initiatives plus 24/7 access to the Sonder wellbeing app
  • Access to an employee rewards hub providing savings and cashback across everyday purchases
  • Employee recognition initiatives, including gift vouchers for Employee of the Month and service anniversaries
  • Enjoy free Orbit World Travel Club membership - $100 travel voucher, exclusive offers, and dedicated support
  • Genuine long-term career opportunities as Kanda continues to grow
