Senior Test Analyst - Systems and Delivery

Department: SRS PMP

Department/Agency: Department of Communities and Justice

Location: Parramatta, NSW, AU, 2150

  • Parramatta and Sydney CBD
  • Temporary up to 2 years - Full-Time (35 HPW)
  • Clerk Grade 7/8, base salary ($116,981 - $129,492), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

The Senior Test Analyst works as part of as multi-disciplinary team responsible for digital product definition, development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement. The role is responsible for the preparation of test cases, test plans and test scripts and the performance of system testing to ensure software solutions are fit for purpose.

What you'll do

  • Analyse business requirements and define clear, testable acceptance criteria aligned with business processes.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to ensure adequate coverage of requirements.
  • Develop and update automated and manual regression test suites, including documenting preconditions, test steps, and expected results.
  • Execute system, integration, and regression testing to validate new functionality and identify defects before release.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to refine requirements, support agile ceremonies, and provide effort estimates.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of applications and system impacts while managing testing activities across multiple products and competing priorities.

  • Quality Assurance & Testing Expertise - Strong ability to design, execute, and maintain system, integration, and regression testing to ensure high-quality software outcomes.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to analyse business requirements, identify risks and defects, and translate requirements into effective test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Time Management - Proven ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and support delivery across multiple projects in agile environments.
