Controls Engineer - Lewis Center, Ohio (Onsite)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with strong expertise in Omron PLC programming and industrial automation for a 3-month onsite contract in Lewis Center, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning automation systems using Omron PLCs while supporting manufacturing operations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer or Automation Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Omron PLCs (CX-Programmer, Sysmac Studio, NJ/NX Series).
• Experience with HMI development and integration.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus, and OPC.
• Experience in PLC programming, debugging, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control panel drawings.
• Experience working with VFDs, servo systems, sensors, safety circuits, and industrial networks.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.
