Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Analyst will develop, document, and execute comprehensive testing activities based on project requirements, technical designs, and delivery timelines. The role requires a strong manual testing background, experience independently developing test conditions and test cases, managing testing efforts across multiple projects, and supporting UAT. The analyst will also leverage Generative AI tools to improve test design, test data creation, documentation, coverage, and testing efficiency while validating AI-generated outputs for accuracy. Experience with OpenText Quality Center/ALM, SQL, structured data formats, and Property & Casualty Insurance is preferred.

Key Responsibilities: Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and technical specifications. Participate in requirements reviews and provide quality input early in the software development lifecycle. Plan testing schedules and strategies in alignment with project scope and delivery timelines. Schedule and facilitate test plan reviews with project managers, business analysts, and UAT leads. Document test cases, test results, and defects using OpenText Quality Center/ALM.

Create and manage test data, including data used for automated testing where applicable. Leverage Generative AI tools to improve test design, generate test scenarios, create test data, accelerate test documentation, and improve testing efficiency. Validate AI-generated testing outputs and artifacts for accuracy and quality. Identify opportunities to incorporate AI-assisted testing techniques to improve test coverage, productivity, and quality. Document and communicate project quality throughout testing, including release readiness and standard testing status reporting.

Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts, UAT leads, and other stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by providing test artifacts, test data, and knowledge transfer to business users. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, security requirements, and applicable industry regulations and standards. Evaluate emerging QA tools, automation capabilities, and AI technologies and recommend process improvements and best practices.

Required Qualifications: 310 years of software testing experience and/or Property & Casualty Insurance industry experience. Strong manual testing experience. Experience independently writing test conditions and creating test cases. Experience managing testing efforts across multiple projects. Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Experience with OpenText Quality Center/ALM, formerly HP ALM, for requirements, test case, and defect management. Basic-to-intermediate SQL skills.

Experience with data testing, including writing SQL queries and working with XML and other structured data formats. Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar. Understanding of AI-assisted testing concepts and ability to evaluate and validate AI-generated testing artifacts. Strong written and verbal communication and facilitation skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Strong negotiation, conflict-resolution, and influencing skills. Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to leverage emerging technologies to enhance QA processes.

Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to Property & Casualty Insurance. Familiarity with test automation frameworks. Experience with AI-enhanced testing tools.
