Job PurposeReporting to the APAC Finance Director, the Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting while continuously improving how financial information is produced, analysed and communicated across the APAC business. The role combines strong financial reporting expertise with reporting automation, AI enabled analytics and dashboard development to improve reporting quality, reduce manual effort and provide scalable management information for decision makers.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver monthly consolidated management reports, executive reporting packs and financial performance analysis across the APAC region.
- Deliver insightful analysis of financial results, including variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year performance.
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Produce KPI reporting and identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities for senior management.
- Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, complete and delivered on schedule.
- Liaise with Finance teams and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long range planning activities through analysis and reporting.
- Translate complex financial information using clear visualisation techniques and concise executive narratives for senior stakeholders across the region.
- Respond to ad hoc reporting requests and provide financial analysis where required.
- Design, develop and maintain standardised reporting templates across APAC.
- Develop interactive dashboards using Power BI, Excel and other reporting platforms to drive self service reporting capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting activities using Power Query, Power Automate, Python, SQL or other appropriate technologies.
- Improve reporting workflows through standardisation, automation and simplification.
- Identify and implement practical AI enabled solutions that improve reporting quality, commentary generation and financial analysis.
- Design AI assisted reporting templates that reduce manual effort and improve data integrity and accuracy.
- Develop AI enabled dashboards that provide predictive insights, trend identification and performance monitoring.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical use cases for Finance.
- Promote responsible AI practices and ensure outputs meet Finance governance standards.
- Maintain robust data validation processes and reconciliation controls over reporting accuracy and integrity.
- Identify opportunities to simplify reporting processes and eliminate manual activities.
- Document reporting processes and establish best practice reporting standards across APAC Finance.
- Support the implementation of new reporting systems and finance transformation initiatives.
- Support the development of reporting capability across the APAC Finance team through coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Delivers high quality financial reporting across the APAC region.
- Drives continuous improvement in reporting through automation, AI and modern analytics technologies.
- Develops scalable reporting and dashboard capabilities that enhance access to financial information.
- Drives financial reporting transformation through technology, AI and process improvement initiatives.
- APAC Finance Director
- APAC Finance Team, including Actuals and Reporting (A&R) and Commercial Planning & Analysis (CP&A) and the wider Global Finance network
- Business stakeholders, including the APAC business unit leaders
- Finance Operations and systems teams
- Strategy, Data and Research teams
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Advanced Power BI, Power Query or similar reporting and data modelling platforms
- Strong financial reporting, financial modelling and analytical capability
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Familiar with automation technologies such as Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Forms or similar
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills, supported by strong attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
- The ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high quality outcomes
- The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non technical stakeholders
- A continuous improvement mindset and a genuine interest in making work more efficient
- Degree qualified in Finance, Business, Accounting or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualified / part qualified / starting professional accounting qualification journey is advantageous
- Demonstrated experience creating management reports and financial analysis outputs within a corporate finance environment
- Demonstrated experience in financial modelling and business performance analysis
- Experience building and developing Power BI dashboards and executive reporting solutions
- Experience developing reporting automation and process improvements
- Experience implementing AI enabled reporting solutions or applying AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise and Claude Enterprise) to improve finance processes
- Experience working with business users to understand requirements and solve practical problems
- Experience working in a multinational or complex organisation is advantageous
