System Analyst / Scrum Master

• Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid: Onsite on Tuesdays & Wednesdays required; no remote-only options)

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Process Management

• Gather and document clear, unambiguous, and testable business requirements adhering to DTMB and MDOS standards.

• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders to identify impacted business processes and document project scope.

• Examine existing and future-state (as-is / to-be) business processes, data, and systems to guide solution design.

• Ensure high-level information governance objectives are met, maintaining adherence to project objectives and data requirements.

Agile & Scrum Leadership

• Serve as the Scrum Master, utilizing tools like Monday.com and/or JIRA to manage backlogs, create epics, features, and user stories, and track work lifecycles.

• Partner with Product Owners to set priorities and ensure adherence to the project schedule.

• Coordinate with the PMO Project Manager for required State of Michigan project artifacts and documentation.

Quality Assurance & Transition Planning

• Develop comprehensive test plans with the business area to ensure repeatable processes beyond the current project lifecycle.

• Author technical documentation and repeatable steps for the business area to support long-term maintenance planning.

• Ensure System Engineering Methodology (SEM) deliverables assigned to the BA role are completed, reviewed, and approved.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate daily with vendor partners and internal team members (UI/UX designers, solution architects, DBAs, developers, and QA testers) to ensure complete alignment on solution scalability, functionality, and requirements.
