As part of the journey, we are looking for a Business Development Manager - OEM & Trade to join our ANZ Sales team in Eastern Creek. The position joins a high performing team and will be responsible for managing our existing OEM clients across Australia and New Zealand, more specifically;

Business Growth & Strategy
  • Identify and secure new trade and fleet opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities within after-market automotive industries.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
  • Identification and development of new markets.
OEM Account Management
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key OEM partners - new and existing.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Drive OEM tenders and RFQ's for new vehicles.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts and supply agreements.
Business Development - Trade, Fleet, Government, Military
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities across government agencies, defense forces, and large trade/fleet buyers
  • Develop long-term growth strategies for institutional and B2B automotive sales
  • Monitor market trends, policy changes, and procurement pipelines.
  • Build relationships with procurement officers, defense departments, and public sector stakeholders.
  • Navigate tender processes, RFQs, and panel contracts.
  • Ensure alignment with government regulations, compliance standards, and security requirements.
  • Lead or contribute to bid preparation and submission
  • Coordinate with legal, compliance, and technical teams
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements
Forecasting and Planning
  • Develop accurate and data-driven monthly and annual sales forecasts for your territory and key accounts.
  • Collaborate with the wider Sales Team, and other stakeholders to align plans with company-wide goals.
Product and Market Development
  • Collaborate with product and marketing teams on new product launches.
  • Provide customer feedback to inform product development.
  • Support trade marketing initiatives, promotions, and campaigns.
Operational Coordination
  • Work closely with internal teams (supply chain, customer service, marketing) to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Monitor stock levels and supply chain performance for key accounts.
  • Attend and support customer and dealer trade shows across Australia when required.
  • Effectively communicate and persuade potential clients to choose our products/services over competitors.
  • Employ strong negotiation and influencing skills to close deals and maximise sales outcomes.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Foster a customer-centric approach to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Reporting
  • Regularly analyse sales data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Use this data-driven approach to optimise sales strategies and tactics.
  • Provide regular and accurate sales reports, forecasts, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and outcomes.
Desired Skills and Experience

We are looking for a sales driven individual with the following:

  • Proven experience as a successful BDM professional and account manager.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong forecasting and planning skills with the ability to analyse sales data and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
  • Adept at building and maintaining relationships with customers.
  • Highly self-motivated, driven, and results oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the product/service being sold is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in using sales software and CRM systems.
