Virtualization Engineer III

We are STS Government Solutions (SGS), a government contracting and consulting firm supporting several military installations and federal agencies across the nation. We are currently supporting a new mission in San Antonio, TX and seeking additional team members to join our team. SGS is seeking a Virtualization Engineer III for a new effort at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX.

What You'll Do:

• Researches, plans, designs, and implements network technologies using industry best practices to ensure the virtualization infrastructure meets business and technical requirements.
• Develops and maintains the client's data virtualization application and processes, and supports the implementation of their business function.
• Develops web applications and associated reports.
• Assists in developing policies, procedures, and change management for virtualization operations.
• Engages with customers on design requirements and assignments.
• Collaborates with others to generate technical solutions.
• Works with all application owners and other IT stakeholders to build and support a scalable, efficient, and stable virtualization infrastructure.
• Works with Project Management team to develop and implement complex projects.
• Provides training and knowledge transfer to other IT teams to ensure continued adoption and successful operation of virtualization technologies.

What You Bring:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ yrs of recent relevant experience.
• CASP+ or CCNP Security or CCSP IA ED IH or Legacy VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
