Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Product Engineering Manager with a strong focus on building Control Planes, Design Patterns, Metadata management, The ideal candidate will possess advanced proficiency in Python and a deep understanding of data engineering principles, including the design and implementation of data pipelines, building Developer experience portals, and distributed systems. This role requires a proactive individual who can leverage their expertise to drive data solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Data Products across LOB, work across LOBs to build and cater data needs.
• Build Control planes, design patterns, metadata management.
• Defining and enforcing policies.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Python.
• Experience building control planes
• Design patterns 
     o Modular containerized services
     o Asynchronous processing
     o Job-based work queue execution
     o Immutability and idempotency
     o Metadata management
     o Policy enforcement
     o Semantic modeling
     o Observability and telemetry
     o Side effect capability injection
• Frameworks and Platforms
  • FastAPI
  • ARQ
  • Kubernetes
  • Pytest
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
• Deal breaker skill: Google Cloud Data Analyst.
