Job Description
HR Advisor (Temporary - Immediate Start) Mountsorrel, Leicestershire Part-time - 30 hours per week Temporary role with potential to become permanent The Opportunity We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected organisation in the construction and infrastructure sector, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join a busy, friendly team on a temporary basis with an immediate start. This is a varied, hands-on HR role where you will take ownership of the full employee lifecycle and play a key part in supporting both employees and management. Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and support managers in resolving employee relations matters
- Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring legal compliance and consistency across the business
- Provide expert guidance on employment matters and HR best practice
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, screening, and supporting hiring decisions
- Prepare offer letters, contracts, and oversee pre-employment checks
- Coordinate onboarding and induction processes
- Maintain accurate HR records (including absence, holiday, and leave) using HR systems
- Support performance management and appraisal processes
- Produce HR KPI reports and assist with disciplinary and grievance processes
- Support occupational health coordination and compliance requirements
- Assist with general HR administration and ad hoc projects
- Provide occasional support with travel arrangements and internal coordination
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a generalist HR role
- Confident working independently and managing a broad workload
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
- Comfortable handling sensitive information in line with GDPR
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with HR systems (e.g. Breathe HR or similar) is desirable
