Job Description

Electrical Project Manager - Data Centre
East London
£70,000-£90,000 + Bonus + 24 Days Holiday + Healthcare + Pension
A leading turnkey contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join its team and lead the delivery of a major £20m M&E value Data Centre project in East London.
With an outstanding reputation for delivering projects across the data centre, commercial, critical infrastructure and fit-out sectors, the business continues to secure prestigious projects through long-term client relationships and technical excellence.

The Role
Reporting to the Project Director, you will take ownership of the electrical package from construction through to commissioning and handover.
The successful candidate will have the capability to step into an MEP Lead position, coordinating both Mechanical and Electrical services while driving programme, quality and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the electrical delivery of a £10m M&E value Data Centre project
  • Manage the electrical package from construction through to commissioning and handover
  • Coordinate Mechanical and Electrical services as the project MEP Lead
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors
  • Review technical submissions, drawings, RFIs and design information
  • Monitor programme, quality, commercial performance and project milestones
  • Chair progress, coordination and client meetings
  • Manage procurement, commissioning, testing and handover activities
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all project activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and the wider project team
Experience & Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager delivering major building services projects
  • Previous experience on Data Centres, critical infrastructure or technically complex commercial projects
  • Strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical coordination
  • Experience leading large M&E packages through the full project lifecycle
  • Capability to act as the MEP Lead on major projects
  • Strong commercial awareness and programme management skills
  • Excellent client-facing and leadership abilities
Qualifications
  • Relevant Electrical qualification
  • ECS Black Card or equivalent
  • SMSTS
  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
