Position: Senior CAE Durability Engineer with Altair OptiStruct

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform battery system dynamics analysis including modal, random vibration, and shock analysis.
• Develop random vibration profiles for Pack-in-Fixture (PIF) testing.
• Develop and tune PIF fixtures to match vehicle response and durability.
• Perform battery system durability analysis using finite element tools.
• Interpret CAE results and provide design optimization recommendations.
• Work closely with design engineers and suppliers to gather material properties and CAE modeling data.
• Participate in meshing, part connections, and durability analysis procedure development.
• Support benchmarking and durability load case analysis.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Altair OptiStruct (Must Have).
• Experience with ANSA, HyperView/META, and Abaqus.
• Strong background in structural analysis, solid mechanics, materials, and dynamics.
• Experience with automotive structures and battery systems.
• Ability to prepare technical analysis reports.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

• BS with 7+ years of experience, or
• MS with 2+ years of experience, or
• PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
