We're looking for a CNC Programmer / Operator to join our Spence Doors team in Forest Glen, QLD. Whether you've worked as a factory hand, machine operator, process worker, production operator, or you're looking for a fresh start, we'll provide training and support to help you succeed.

What You'll Do
  • CAD and/or CNC programming experience
  • Modifying CAD/CAM files for CNC machine and laser cutting
  • Using database to produce cut list and material orders from work orders
  • General office administration - printing labels and paperwork, emails etc
  • Assembling and adjusting components using hand and power tools
  • Operating CNC machinery safely and efficiently, following established procedures and work instructions
  • Setting up, calibrating and adjusting CNC machines to achieve accurate dimensions and specifications
  • Loading and unloading materials, monitoring production runs and troubleshooting machine issues
  • Operating edge banding equipment to apply edging materials to doors with precision
  • Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements
  • Maintaining detailed production records and reporting any equipment faults or maintenance needs
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
  • Collaborating with the production team to meet deadlines and optimize workflow efficiency
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment (factory, production, assembly, or fabrication)
  • Ability to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level, and square
  • Comfortable using power tools
  • Reliable, team player, and able to work independently
  • Commitment to safety and willingness to follow WHS guidelines and wear PPE
