Pega Senior System Architect

Location: Remote - UK-based
Contract: Until 31 December 2026, with a strong likelihood of extension
Rate: £500-£700 per day, Inside IR35 - flexible depending on experience
Clearance: Active SC Clearance - Essential

We are looking for an experienced Pega Senior System Architect (SSA) to join a major enterprise transformation programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Pega professional to work on a large-scale, complex transformation programme, designing and delivering scalable Pega solutions while working closely with architects, business stakeholders and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop enterprise-scale applications using Pega Platform.
  • Work with Lead System Architects to define solution architecture and technical designs.
  • Build case management, workflow, integrations and UI components using Pega best practices.
  • Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements.
  • Develop reusable assets, frameworks and implementation patterns.
  • Configure integrations using REST, SOAP and messaging technologies.
  • Support testing, deployment, and production releases.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, performance and governance standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience delivering applications using Pega Platform.
  • Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) - essential.
  • Strong experience across Case Management, Data Modelling, Decisioning and Integrations.
  • Strong understanding of Pega Constellation and modern UX approaches.
  • Experience with REST APIs, web services and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional English - spoken and written.
  • Active UK Security Clearance (SC) - essential.
  • Must be based in the UK.

Desirable

  • Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA).
  • Experience with Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH).
  • Exposure to Pega GenAI, Blueprint and Agentic AI capabilities.
  • Cloud-native and DevOps experience.
  • Experience within banking, insurance, telecommunications or public sector environments.
  • Experience working on large-scale digital transformation programmes.
