Deputy Head of Software Development – Bristol – £60k‑£70k DOE

This role is for a Software Development Manager ready to step up as Deputy Head of Software for an international business based in Bristol. Working in an Agile environment you will manage a team of Software Engineers in the design, development, troubleshooting and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new systems. This is primarily a leadership role; you will support the team with technical advice and ensure projects meet quality and delivery standards.

Essential Skills

• A strong technical background, degree qualified.
• Software engineering experience in enterprise software development and software project delivery in a software company.
• Excellent understanding of software development life cycles, especially Agile methodologies (SCRUM, DSDM, Lean or Kanban).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
