Finance Assistant

Finance AssistantRole Overview We are looking for a Finance Assistant to provide day-to-day support across a busy finance function. Working closely with the wider finance team, you will assist with transactional finance activities, month-end processes, reconciliations, and reporting. This is a varied role offering exposure to multiple areas of finance, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience within a supportive and growing business environment.Key Responsibilities

• Process sales and purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
• Match invoices and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding queries
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations
• Manage finance-related queries and liaise with stakeholders across the business
• Support the setup and maintenance of customer and supplier records
• Process employee expenses and company card transactions
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure correct coding of transactions
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and wider finance projects
• Provide support to colleagues across the finance team as required
• Contribute to month-end activities and reporting processes

Requirements

• Previous experience within a transactional finance or accounts role
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
• AAT qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification would be advantageous
• Experience using finance or ERP systems is beneficial
• Eagerness to learn and develop within a broad finance position
