ICT Project Manager

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced ICT Project Manager to lead the delivery of critical technology projects supporting geographically dispersed and operationally complex environments.

Working within a specialised ICT team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives, engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, and helping to deliver enhanced ICT capabilities across a unique and challenging operating environment.

About the Role As the ICT Project Manager, you will lead multiple technology projects while collaborating closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organisational objectives.

This role requires a strong blend of project delivery expertise, technical understanding, stakeholder management, and the ability to work effectively in environments where priorities can shift rapidly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans and delivery schedules
• Lead end-to-end delivery of ICT projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved within scope, budget, and timeline constraints
• Manage project resources, budgets, technology assets, and vendor engagements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies
• Ensure solutions meet quality standards and performance expectations
• Facilitate project governance through status reporting, stakeholder engagement, and regular project meetings
• Apply and adapt project delivery methodologies including PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, SAFe, and hybrid approaches
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand operational needs and identify technology improvements that enhance business performance

Key Experinece Required:

• Proven experience delivering complex ICT projects as a Project Manager
• Strong technical understanding and the ability to analyse and resolve ICT communications challenges
• Experience across ICT infrastructure environments, with knowledge of satellite, networking, and radio communications technologies
• Demonstrated experience working within government or similarly complex environments
• Experience delivering projects in remote, regional, or challenging operational environments
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes under pressure
• Exposure to satellite, communications, networking, and infrastructure projects would be highly regarded
