Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Workday Production Support Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is part of the Production Services team, responsible for the day-to-day operations, support, and stability of the Workday platform, including Workday VNDLY. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Workday applications, monitoring enterprise environments with Splunk and Dynatrace, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring high availability of critical HR and contingent workforce systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide production support for Workday HCM and Workday VNDLY, ensuring platform stability, performance, and availability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Workday production issues, including integrations, business processes, security, and data inconsistencies
  • Monitor Workday integrations and application health using Splunk Enterprise and Dynatrace
  • Build and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports using Splunk Enterprise to support application and infrastructure visibility
  • Configure and maintain Splunk and Dynatrace monitoring solutions
  • Implement full-stack monitoring, including logs, metrics, and traces
  • Support Workday VNDLY integrations with Workday HCM and third-party vendor management systems
  • Identify production failure scenarios and create incident, enhancement, and problem tickets
  • Analyze recurring production issues and recommend permanent fixes and process improvements
  • Identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement, and maintain operational metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Take ownership of escalations and perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, research, and issue resolution
  • Perform analytical, technical, and administrative work in planning, supporting, and maintaining enterprise applications and related infrastructure
  • Serve as an escalation point for unresolved production incidents, service requests, and application issues
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot business process issues, security access problems, integration failures, and data inconsistencies
  • Assist in testing and deploying Workday updates and releases, ensuring minimal business disruption
  • Collaborate with HR, Procurement, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technical teams to support Workday and VNDLY production operations

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of IT experience in production support with exposure to Level 2 support activities
  • Experience supporting Workday HCM and Workday VNDLY in a production environment
  • Strong understanding of Workday business processes, security, reporting, and integrations
  • Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise (queries, dashboards, data onboarding) and Dynatrace monitoring tools
  • Experience troubleshooting Workday integrations using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Core Connectors, or APIs is preferred
  • Experience working with Oracle/Advanced PL/SQL, Unix/Linux, and Autosys (JIL scripts)
  • Understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, reasoning, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a global support organization

Desired skills:
  • Experience supporting Workday VNDLY, contingent workforce management, and vendor onboarding processes
  • Knowledge of Workday integrations, APIs, web services, and middleware platforms
  • Familiarity with JIRA and ITSM Remedy
  • Experience with automation, scripting, and operational task simplification
  • Workday certification(s) in HCM, Integrations, or VNDLY is a plus

Pay range: $60.21 - $68.21 per hour
