Order Picker General Warehouse M & V Provisions

M&V Provisions is looking for a dependable and hardworking Order Picker/Selector to join our warehouse team in Ridgewood, Queens. In this role, you will help ensure customer orders are accurately selected, prepared, and ready for delivery. Convenient Location: We are located just two blocks from the Jefferson Avenue subway station in Ridgewood, Queens.

What You'll Do

• Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Restock products and organize warehouse inventory
• Prepare orders for shipment and delivery
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
• Work closely with the warehouse team to meet daily productivity goals

Work Environment

M&V is a food wholesaler, and much of our work takes place in refrigerated and freezer warehouse areas. This is a physically active position that requires standing, walking, lifting, and moving throughout the shift. Employees are on their feet for most of the day, with scheduled coffee and lunch breaks.

Schedule

Monday through Friday

• Monday - Thursday: 3:30 AM to 1:00 PM
• Friday: 3:30 AM to 12:00 PM

Most shifts conclude no later than 1:00 PM Monday through Thursday and noon on Fridays, allowing you to enjoy your afternoons.

Compensation

$19.00 per hour

• Overtime pay: $28.50 per hour
• Additional shift differential of $11.45 per hour paid for hours worked before 4:00 AM
• Paid coffee breaks

Weekly Performance Bonus

Earn extra pay based on your speed and accuracy.

Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-75 pounds on a regular basis.

Ability to work in a refrigerated and freezer warehouse environment for extended periods.

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist throughout the shift.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy.

Ability to accurately pick and prepare customer orders using invoices, pick sheets, or handheld devices.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.

Reliable transportation and the ability to consistently report to work for the scheduled 3:30 AM start time.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain a strong attendance record.

Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment (experience preferred but not required).

Warehouse, order selecting, food distribution, or inventory experience is preferred but not required.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Holiday Pay: After 90 days of employment, employees become eligible for holiday pay. On designated holidays when we operate a reduced schedule (typically 4:00 AM to 9:00 AM), eligible employees receive 8 hours of holiday pay plus pay for the hours worked.
