If you enjoy taking a design from schematic through to a working circuit board, this role offers plenty of hands-on engineering and a strong pipeline of new products.

An established technology manufacturer is looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to join its small engineering team. The business has an international customer base, and youll have the chance to see your designs through from initial concept to manufacture.

This role would suit an engineer with a few years experience in schematic and PCB design. Youll work mainly on new products, alongside some improvements to existing designs.

What youll be doing as an Electronics Design Engineer:

• Designing electronic schematics and multilayer PCBs.
• Building and testing prototypes, investigating faults and refining designs.
• Working across analogue, digital and power electronics.
• Contributing to design reviews and working with Manufacturing, Test and Quality.
• Preparing design files and technical documentation for production.
• Supporting changes and troubleshooting on existing products.

What were looking for from the Electronics Design Engineer:

Youll be hands-on electronics engineer who enjoys both design work and practical testing.

Youll need:

• Experience creating schematics and designing PCBs.
• Practical experience testing and debugging electronic hardware.
• The ability to take ownership of your designs and work well with other engineers.

The team uses KiCad, but experience with another PCB CAD package is welcome. Power electronics experience would be useful, with support available to develop this area. Familiarity with Linux command-line tools, C/C++, VHDL, FPGAs or SoCs would be an added advantage.
