Assistant Engineer

Volt is immediately hiring for an Direct Hire Assistant Engineer (Land Development) in Santa Clarita, CA.

As an Assistant Engineer, you will:

• Assist with engineering and drafting activities for civil engineering projects.
• Apply established engineering principles, standards, and procedures to assigned work.
• Prepare and revise drawings, plans, and project documentation using CADD software.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliverables.
• Support project teams by researching and evaluating engineering alternatives.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop technical knowledge and project experience.
• Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain project documentation and meet established deadlines.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, mathematics, and design concepts.
• Experience using CADD and standard engineering software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings, graphics standards, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of QA/QC processes and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or successful completion of the FE/EIT examination.
• Internship, co-op, or academic project experience related to civil engineering.
• Familiarity with industry design standards and engineering best practices.

Pay Rate: $65,000 - $75,000 annually

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate\'s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
