Senior REACT JS Developer

About the Role

This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from home while supporting the DC Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) on the DC DMV Enterprise Application modernization. We are seeking a Senior React JS Developer to design, develop, and test modern React applications.

Working remotely, you will focus on ReactJS programming — integrating designs and wireframes, writing clean and scalable JavaScript, optimizing components across browsers and devices, and delivering responsive web UIs from development through QA to production using REST APIs, Redux, Node.js, Git, and CI/CD on RedHat OpenShift.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test using React JS technologies from development through QA to production
• Focus on ReactJS programming; integrate designs and wireframes into application code
• Write application interface code with JavaScript; translate wireframes and designs into quality code
• Optimize components to work seamlessly across browsers and devices; develop responsive web-based UI
• Write clean, scalable code; refactor, debug, and improve existing software; test and deploy applications
• Develop documentation throughout the development lifecycle and provide technical support to the team
• Ensure technologies are current, stable, compliant, and meet enterprise standards
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
• Improve existing Java applications and systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 16 years of enterprise web development experience
• 3+ years with React.js (React-UI framework)
• ReactJS, RxJS, NodeJS, ES6/5
• Redux architecture
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular 2.0
• Developing React Native components
• JSX (JavaScript Syntax Extension)
• REST APIs; JSON and XML
• Translating wireframes and designs for development
• CSS libraries; design tools (Figma, Adobe XD)
• ReactJS workflows (Flux, Redux, Create React App, data structure libraries)
• Git version control
• Tomcat / Jetty / Undertow application servers
• Linux working environment
• RedHat OpenShift container-based development and deployment
• Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD)
