Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex technology projects from initiation through successful delivery. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software development, IT infrastructure, Agile methodologies, and cross-functional project delivery.

The Technical Project Manager will work closely with Engineering, Product, Business, QA, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical projects from planning and initiation through implementation and closure.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage project scope, timelines, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Conduct regular status meetings, project reviews, and stakeholder communications.
• Track project progress and provide clear status reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify potential project risks and develop appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
• Work with technical teams to understand system dependencies, integrations, APIs, applications, infrastructure, and deployment requirements.
• Coordinate across development, QA, DevOps, cloud, security, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies and resolve project blockers.
• Support Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Work with Product Managers/Product Owners to prioritize requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Manage change requests and ensure project scope is properly controlled.
• Coordinate application releases, production deployments, testing, and implementation activities.
• Maintain project documentation, RAID logs, action items, decisions, and project metrics.
• Ensure effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Escalate critical risks, issues, and delays to appropriate leadership.
• Ensure projects comply with organizational security, governance, quality, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Project Management / Technical Project Management / IT Project Management.
• Strong experience managing technology/software development projects.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and software engineering processes.
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, risk management, issue management, and dependency tracking.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools.
• Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects/workstreams simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business leadership.
• Strong experience with project status reporting and executive-level presentations.

• Experience managing projects involving multiple technical teams and external vendors.
• Experience working in a hybrid environment with distributed teams.
