Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Utilities Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have strong functional knowledge of Oracle Utilities CC&B, hands-on experience in manual and automation testing, and expertise in validating utility business processes including customer management, billing, payments, collections, and meter-to-cash operations. Experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements for Oracle Utilities CC&B implementations and enhancements.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform Functional, Integration, System Integration (SIT), User Acceptance (UAT), Regression, and End-to-End testing.
- Validate CC&B modules such as:
- Customer Information
- Billing & Bill Calculation
- Payments & Adjustments
- Credit & Collections
- Service Agreements
- Meter Reads
- Financial Transactions
- Execute batch testing and validate batch processing results.
- Perform API testing using REST/SOAP services with tools like Postman or SOAP UI.
- Validate data using SQL/PLSQL queries.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using Jira or ALM.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Functional Consultants to resolve defects.
- Prepare test execution reports, defect metrics, and status reports.
- Support production validation and post-deployment testing activities.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of QA experience with at least 2+ years in Oracle Utilities CC&B testing.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Utilities CC&B and OUAF architecture.
- Experience in:
- Functional Testing
- Integration Testing
- Regression Testing
- End-to-End Testing
- UAT Support
- Hands-on SQL/PLSQL for backend validation.
- Experience testing REST/SOAP APIs using Postman or SOAP UI.
- Knowledge of batch processing and job validation.
- Experience with defect management tools such as Jira, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Oracle Utilities products such as CCS, C2M, or MDM.
- Automation testing using Selenium, Java, or REST Assured.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of utility domains (Electricity, Gas, or Water).
- Exposure to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is an added advantage.
