We are recruiting on behalf of a successful and established manufacturing business looking for a skilled engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with a passion for fault finding, continuous improvement and keeping production running efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical and mechanical engineering background, with experience supporting automated production environments and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex faults.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability and performance of production equipment across the site.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
- Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
- Fault finding on automated machinery and production equipment
- Working with PLC-controlled systems and assisting with troubleshooting
- Completing equipment improvements and reliability projects
- Identifying opportunities to improve machine performance and efficiency
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest standards
- Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge
- Experience working within a food, drink, FMCG or manufacturing environment
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work proactively and independently
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance principles
- PLC knowledge and experience fault finding on automated systems
- Experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar PLC systems
- Knowledge of robotics, automation or control systems
- Experience working with high-speed production and packaging machinery
- Electrical qualifications (18th Edition / equivalent) would be advantageous
