A high-growth education organisation is strengthening its Finance & Accounts function and is looking for a DGM - Accounts to join its team.

The role will work closely with the Head - Accounts and serve as the second-in-command within the Accounts function, with responsibility across financial reporting, controllership, audits, MIS, statutory compliance, financial controls and finance transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive monthly, quarterly and annual financial closures across multiple entities.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements, MIS, schedules and variance analysis.
• Ensure accuracy of books, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Manage statutory and internal audit coordination and closure of audit observations.
• Oversee statutory, tax and regulatory compliance.
• Develop Excel-based MIS, analytical models, dashboards and management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and Board reporting.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and senior finance teams.
• Drive ERP improvements, finance automation and process standardisation.
• Strengthen internal controls, documentation and IPO-readiness initiatives.
• Mentor team members and independently manage key finance workstreams.
• Support the Head - Accounts on strategic and operational finance initiatives.

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably post-articleship.
• Inter CA (Any Group Cleared).
• Strong experience in end-to-end accounting and financial closures.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with auditors, consultants and senior finance professionals.
• Advanced Excel and strong MIS reporting capabilities.
• Experience in multi-entity environments and ERP systems is preferred.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
