The Role • Design, implement, and manage complex firewall solutions using Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto technologies. • Monitor firewall performance and security logs to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats. • Develop and enforce robust network security policies and procedures to maintain integrity. • Conduct system audits to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations. • Collaborate effectively with IT, Security, and Network teams for seamless integration of firewall solutions. • Serve as a People Leader for the Firewall Task Area, overseeing operations, projects, and assessments. What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of directly relevant experience (or equivalent military/work experience). • At least 3 years of firewall experience within a DoD environment. • Demonstrated knowledge in planning, directing, and managing a Firewall Team. • Proven experience with perimeter and internal firewalls (physical and virtual). • Advanced experience in managing baseline configurations and evaluating firewall rules for optimal security. • An active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. • DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification and a Juniper, Cisco, or Palo Alto certification.
