• 5+ years data engineering experience (no upper cap)
• Core stack: Databricks, Spark, Snowflake, AWS (S3, Lambda, SQS/Kafka)
• Strong data modeling: canonical data models, schema design, warehouse architecture
• ETL pipeline development and management
• Data quality, governance, security, and compliance
• Front-end/reporting layer experience a plus in some use cases
• Python required alongside SQL

Domain and Soft Skills

• Finance domain experience strongly preferred, especially reconciliation
• Bank-to-book recon: platform transactions vs. bank statements
• Key data: bank/cash balances, payments, EFT, bank transfers
• Recon or EFT experience would stand out
• Tribu/NetSuite not mandatory; learned on the job
• Proactive, independently operating (expected by years 4-5)
• Should assess gaps, flag issues, manage time without hand-holding
• AI-forward mindset with demonstrated examples
• Collaborative, can-do attitude aligned with Coinbase tenets

Interview Process

• Three rounds: technical deep-dive, functional, hiring manager
• No CodeSignal assessment; may be asked to write SQL/code snippets in technical round
