Programmer Analyst - Application Administrator

Location: St. Louis, MO Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly - $70.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a Programmer Analyst - Application Administrator

Position Overview

We are seeking a Programmer Analyst to support a portfolio of applications used by our operations department. This role is a mix of application support, enhancement development, and system integration work.

A key objective of this role is knowledge transfer from senior team members. We currently have applications supported by only 1 or 2 people, and we require support to be shared more widely. The selected candidate will work closely with our team to learn critical systems, document processes, and ensure continuity of support.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience)

4-7 years of experience in application development, support, or a similar role

Experience working with Java (Spring Boot preferred)

Experience with SQL and relational databases

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work directly with end users to diagnose and resolve issues

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with enterprise asset management systems (e.g., Maximo)

Experience with system integrations, APIs, or middleware platforms

Experience supporting multiple applications in an operational environment

Familiarity with utility, infrastructure, or public sector environments
