Site Engineer
Are you an experienced Site Engineer looking to work on major infrastructure and civil engineering projects?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing project team, playing a key role in the safe and successful delivery of construction works. Youll be responsible for setting out, quality assurance, engineering control and supporting project delivery, ensuring works are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.
What Youll Be Doing

• Providing engineering control and setting out for construction activities.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, specifications and project requirements.
• Producing permits, task briefs and supporting documentation for works within your area of responsibility.
• Supporting the development and implementation of temporary works solutions.
• Undertaking inspections and quality checks in line with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Maintaining quality assurance records and raising non-conformances where required.
• Monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Assisting with the planning and delivery of construction activities in line with project programmes.
• Identifying design discrepancies or incomplete information and escalating for resolution.
• Maintaining accurate site records, diaries and progress reports.
• Collaborating with subcontractors, supervisors and project teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Supporting the development and mentoring of junior engineering staff where required.

What Were Looking For

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering, infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of setting out and engineering control techniques.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes, ITPs and construction compliance requirements.
• Experience working with subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Good understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements on site.
• Proficiency in surveying and setting out equipment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and technical documentation.
• Relevant engineering qualification, such as HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• CSCS card and a valid driving licence.
