Quick Overview
Job Description
About the Company
Our client is an owner-led design and build company delivering loft conversions, extensions and full house refurbishments for homeowners across South West London and Surrey. They run a genuinely end-to-end model — in-house architects, project managers on site, and their own project app to keep clients updated — and are scaling significantly over the next few years. They're hiring an experienced Construction Project Manager to help lead that growth.
About the Role
Run your own sites: take full ownership of residential projects — loft conversions, extensions, refurbishments and new builds — from handover through to completion, on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate delivery: plan and sequence trades, subcontractors and suppliers so your sites run smoothly without constant hand-holding.
- Own client communication: be the main point of contact for clients throughout the build, supported by an in-house project app.
- Manage risk: track programme, cost and quality, and work closely with the in-house architecture team to keep designs buildable.
- Grow with the business: take on a growing caseload as the business expands, with the chance to mentor newer PMs over time.
Qualifications
- Track record: as a Project Manager or Site Manager within a design and build, residential extension, or loft conversion business.
Required Skills
- Hands-on delivery: running residential construction projects start to finish, and managing subcontractors and trades directly.
- Good working knowledge: of building regulations and site health & safety requirements.
- Full UK driving licence: essential — daily travel between sites, company car provided.
- The right mindset: a self-starter who takes ownership, stays calm under pressure, and genuinely cares about client experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in managing a variety of residential projects.
Pay range and compensation package
Competitive salary & package: £45k - £55k base plus company car and performance-related bonus.
Equal Opportunity Statement
Our client is committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
