RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in New York, NY that is seeking a Senior Google Cloud Platform Architect Engineer.

Summary

The Senior Google Cloud Platform Architect Engineer will lead the enablement and adoption of new Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services while providing hands-on technical leadership across cloud architecture, engineering, and security initiatives. This role will balance service enablement with solution development, ensuring Google Cloud Platform environments meet strong security, compliance, access control, and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level technical leadership, architecture reviews, and hands-on engineering support for complex Google Cloud Platform initiatives
• Design and implement Google Cloud Platform security frameworks, including organization policies, IAM, encryption, key management, and security telemetry
• Lead the architecture and technical delivery of new Google Cloud Platform services and solutions
• Support service enablement and ongoing cloud solution development
• Location: Open to candidates across all regions

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma/GED
• 5-7 years of experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and securing enterprise-scale solutions within Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience working within complex, highly regulated, or multi-tenant cloud environments
• Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform security tools, including Cloud IAM, Firewall Rules, KMS, Organization Policies, Security Command Center, Secret Manager, and VPC Service Controls
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud connectivity, Shared VPC architecture, zero-trust network access, and regional network management

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD security integration
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with experience supporting secure cloud adoption across business teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
