U.S. Navy Marine Diesel Engineer | Philadelphia, PA, United States | Hybrid

The Role

  • Support diesel engine propulsion systems and ship service diesel generators onboard Navy vessels.
  • Conduct data analysis, logistics development, project planning, and training support for diesel engines.
  • Perform ship visits for inspections and data collection.
  • Troubleshoot diesel propulsion and generation systems and verify governor controls.
  • Provide support for the installation of new system upgrades.
  • Assist program managers, engineers, and Navy personnel.

What You'll Need

  • A Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Up to 5 years of experience in diesel engine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Recent graduates from a Maritime Academy are preferred.
  • Shipboard experience is desired.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
