Shift Pattern 3 Shift (6-2, 2-10, 10-6) Monday to Friday

Salary: £45,000 to £52,000 + Pension + Overtime + Benefits

Location: Aston-in-Makerfield

The Role

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing equipment.

Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults quickly and effectively.

Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery.

Maintaining three-phase motors, control circuits and variable speed drives.

Troubleshooting electrical safety circuits and relay logic.

Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.

Completing maintenance documentation using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Supporting continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades.

Working safely and complying with all Health & Safety procedures.

Collaborating with production teams to minimise machine downtime.

Key Skills

18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.

ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.

Strong electrical fault-finding experience within a manufacturing environment.

Experience with:

oPLC fault diagnosis

oThree-phase motor control

oRelay logic

oAC & DC variable speed drives

oElectrical safety circuits

oSensors (proximity, optical etc.)

Experience working with Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron or Telemecanique equipment.

Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.

Good IT skills and experience using maintenance management systems.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure.
