Job Description

Senior Data Engineer Cloud & DevOps IT Data & Analytics | Contract to Hire Potential

Role
Our Data & Analytics organization is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a strong DevOps foundation to support the modernization of its enterprise data platform. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and cloud operations you'll be designing and maintaining robust data pipelines, automating platform operations, and helping shape customer's evolving AI and agentic data strategy.
Remote-first with occasional in-person sessions required. Potential Contract to Hire What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across Customers' multi-source enterprise data environment (90+ data sources, 5,000+ table EDW)
  • Architect and implement CI/CD frameworks for data platform deployments using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
  • Build and maintain governed data lake architectures aligned to Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) standards
  • Develop Python/Bash automation libraries for data ingestion, transformation, and regression workflows
  • Implement telemetry and ETL pipelines for KPI tracking, operational dashboards, and reporting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, analytics, and supply chain teams (Oracle Fusion, Kinaxis, Power BI ecosystem)
  • Support cloud modernization efforts on AWS (primary) and Azure
  • Contribute to AI/agentic readiness initiatives including LLM integration, RAG pipelines, and intelligent automation frameworks

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of data engineering experience with strong DevOps/MLOps fluency
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS (required) S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, EMR or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Bash scripting
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Docker
  • Solid background in enterprise data modeling 3NF, Dimensional, Data Vault
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure Data Explorer
  • Experience in high-volume, multi-source EDW environments
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security-by-design principles
  • Exposure to Generative AI, agentic workflows, or LLM integration strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to work across technical and business stakeholder groups

Nice to Have

  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or semiconductor/hardware domains
  • Familiarity with Oracle ERP data structures or TIBCO/EDI integration
  • Prior work on middleware transformation or integration platform modernization
