Assistant General Manager - Subway

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our Subway team. The AGM supports the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations, developing the team, delivering excellent guest service, and driving sales and profitability.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can step up to lead the restaurant when the General Manager is unavailable.

What You’ll Do

• Support the General Manager with the overall operation of the Subway restaurant
• Lead, coach, and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer service
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
• Ensure proper staffing and shift coverage to meet business needs
• Monitor food quality, preparation, portioning, and presentation
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety
• Follow all Subway brand standards, company policies, and operating procedures
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and controlling food costs
• Monitor sales, labor, waste, and other key performance indicators
• Help ensure accurate cash handling and daily financial procedures
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively
• Conduct shift walks and ensure the restaurant is ready for business
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and employees
• Step in to manage restaurant operations in the General Manager’s absence
• Perform other duties as needed to support the success of the restaurant

What We’re Looking For

• Previous restaurant leadership or management experience preferred
• Subway experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be dependable, professional, and team-oriented
