Job Description

Organisation/Entity: Transport For NSW

Job location: Macquarie Park, NSW, AU, 2113

Job reference number: 107704

Employment type: Permanent Full-Time

Salary range: $158393.0-$177399.0

You want to play a part in making NSW a better place to work, live and travel.

This is your opportunity to broaden your experience and perspectives, step out of the confines of a standard project role and expand your scope to work with an interconnected ecosystem of industry professionals.

In this role, you'll:

Provide strategic scheduling oversight across a complex portfolio, bringing together timelines from multiple programs to identify key dependencies, sequencing challenges, and delivery risks that influence overall outcomes. You will create and maintain consolidated schedule views that combine individual project plans into a single portfolio perspective, enabling clear visibility of milestones, critical paths, and interrelated impacts across initiatives. Work at a portfolio level, you will connect scheduling insights with cost, risk, and resource considerations to support integrated governance and informed decision-making.

Qualifications
  • You are experienced in working across large-scale delivery environments, with a strong ability to interpret and connect scheduling data to broader portfolio performance.
  • Proven experience delivering portfolio-level schedule analysis across complex, multi-project environments.
  • Strong analytical capability to interpret and integrate project schedules, identifying cross-program impacts, risks, and constraints.
  • Deep understanding of scheduling approaches such as Critical Path Method (CPM), dependency mapping, milestone planning, and schedule risk techniques.
  • Hands on experience using tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Smartsheet, Planview, or similar, primarily for analysis and integration rather than day to day scheduling.
  • Ability to engage senior stakeholders and present complex schedule insights in a clear, actionable way.
  • Experience working within government or large enterprise settings, including governance, assurance, and performance reporting frameworks.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
  • Industry recognised certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, P3M3, or similar.
