Job Description
Product Designer Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our Trading client in London for a Designer on a contract basis starting ASAP until March 2027. We’re looking for Designers with demonstrable years’ experience across UX, UI or product design, with exposure to the full design lifecycle across operational or enterprise environments.

The role Working in a trading environment you’ll need to be confident working across the lifecycle from research and ideation through to execution and developer handoff, potentially in unfamiliar or high-complexity domains You’ll be planning and conducting research and usability testing, including with specialist users like traders, risk analysts or operations teams.
You’ll need to be comfortable facilitating sessions to help trading users, BAs and stakeholders clarify complex problems in high-pressure and time-sensitive contexts.
You’ll be expected to produce journey maps, UX flows, wireframes and both low- and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate intent and align teams around design direction Candidate Requirements A strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful problem-solving, strong design craft and impact – ideally in contexts like data-rich tools, workflow design or operational systems.<br />Strong proficiency in Figma and FigJam, including working with design systems and interactive prototyping in collaborative workflows<br />Solid understanding of usability and accessibility standards (such as WCAG and ISO 9241), and how to apply them to complex, high-density interfaces<br />Proactive and accountable, you take ownership of your work, manage ambiguity and push things forward without needing close direction<br />Pragmatic and delivery-aware, able to balance user needs with business goals, tech and regulatory constraints, and shifting priorities<br />Able to collaborate confidently with trading users, stakeholders, business analysts and developers to shape and iterate solutions in environments where accuracy, speed and alignment are critical<br />Strong analytical thinking skills – able to understand and improve service-level or process-level flows in multi-system or cross-team environments<br />Willing to support more junior team members through peer mentoring, feedback and collaborative workingDoes this sound like your next career move?
