Role : Cyber Security Advisor / Architect

Domain : Cyber Security domains

Responsibilities
  • Design Security Architecture - Enterprise security frameworks (Zero Trust, Defense in Depth)
  • Security Strategy & Governance: Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with security regulations and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Security Operations & Threat Management - working with CISO organization as an advisory board
  • Oversee Security Operations Center (SOC) and incident response teams.
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Manage security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), ISE, Cloudflare, SIEM, VM, DLP, Email & Web Security, and endpoint protection
  • Incident Response & Forensics - Lead investigations into security incidents and data breaches.
  • Develop incident response plans and conduct security drills.
  • Coordinate with legal, compliance, and law enforcement agencies when necessary.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure cybersecurity policies align with regulatory requirements and corporate risk tolerance.
  • Conduct internal security audits and penetration testing.
  • Work with IT and business units to assess and mitigate security risks.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Lead, mentor, and develop the cybersecurity team.
  • Conduct security awareness training for employees.
  • Collaborate with executives and IT teams to align security with business goals.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), endpoint security, and encryption technologies.
  • Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight), EDR solutions, and vulnerability management.
  • Knowledge of identity & access management (IAM), zero-trust architecture, and DevSecOps principles.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with executives, IT teams, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple security projects and respond quickly to cyber threats.
Qualifications
  • Preferred Experience: 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership position.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance and security frameworks.
  • Background in security architecture, risk management, or penetration testing.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP, GIAC) are highly preferred.
