This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced
Chartered Tax Advisor
to join a growing team, managing a portfolio of clients from a specific sector and delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted adviser, providing proactive tax planning, ensuring compliance obligations are met, and building strong, long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities of the Chartered Tax Advisor:
Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services while building trusted, long-term relationships. Prepare and review a range of personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with current UK tax legislation and regulatory requirements. Provide proactive tax planning and advisory support, identifying opportunities to improve tax efficiency and advising on a variety of personal and business tax matters. Act as the main point of contact for clients, offering clear, professional guidance and maintaining a high standard of service through regular communication and reviews. Collaborate with colleagues across the business to support wider financial and business advisory projects, ensuring clients receive a joined-up service. Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation, maintain accurate client records, and contribute to continuous improvement across the practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications to succeed in
the role of Chartered Tax Advisor:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a tax-focused role following professional qualification. Strong knowledge of personal and/or corporate taxation. Good understanding of UK accounting standards, statutory reporting requirements, and tax compliance obligations. Professionally qualified or part-qualified (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CTA, or equivalent). Strong analytical, review, and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cloud-based accounting software.
