Our client is looking for a IT Systems Support Specialist for a 6 month to 1 year contract opportunity located in Sacramento, CA.

Desired Knowledge & Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ERP ABAP development and programming in ECC 6.0
• Work experience across multiple modules within the SAP ERP system
• Knowledge of Web Dynpro ABAP, BAPIs, Enhancement Framework, Workflows, Adobe Forms, Smartforms, SAPscript, and ABAP on HANA
• Ability to tune application components for optimized performance and efficiency
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent documentation skills for solutions developed
• Willingness to provide training and support to less experienced team members

Soft Skills & Communication: The ideal candidate will possess strong presentation skills for interacting with business stakeholders, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and the capacity to work both autonomously and within a team setting.

Role Summary & Scope of Work: This position supports a backlog of enterprise SAP Benefits and Payroll development tasks. Key responsibilities include:

• Creating and updating benefits and payroll reports for external providers
• Automating benefit plan selections triggered by employee organization and status changes
• Developing custom reports centered on payroll data, including FI postings
• Writing ABAP code to identify retroactive amounts across employee payroll deductions, tracking the specific pay periods in which adjustments occurred
• Utilizing deep technical expertise in SAP HR-Benefits and Payroll data to support complex reporting requirements
